Jul 19, 2015 5:27 PM in response to shehzadb03by Johnb-one,★HelpfulYes-you can upgrade. However, I don't think that the new Macbook Pro's use a hard drive, as we understand it to be. They use PCI-E based flash storage, otherwise known as an SSD. In theory, you can upgrade to 1 tb, however, it's pricey. I think it's a samsung SSD (Blade type). I don't know if the Ram is upgradeable as well. I've heard rumors that it's soldered in, but I'm hoping that those are wrong. Anyways, check out macsales.com for maybe a little more info. I have nothing to do with them at all, but I suspect that your local Apple store might not be willing to upgrade the storage capacity of that Macbook pro in store . They may be able to do so, but I'm not 100% sure. They may have an Apple-branded SSD which will take you up to 512 gigs, but that would be it,
3rd party SSD's are out of the question......
the only way to find out would be to call them and ask yourself.
good luck

Jul 19, 2015 6:37 PM in response to shehzadb03by Paul Conaway,JB, is correct it is a SSD in your macbook pro. I'm not sure either the RAM or the drive space is upgradable. I would check out ifixit.com to see if you can upgrade the SSD. For purchasing a larger SSD. Macsales.com is a good site. I've purchased from them before and had no issues.

Jul 7, 2016 9:18 AM in response to shehzadb03by JasonNvm,It is doable, but is NOT recommended by me personally.
Since your computer is a 2015 ver., it's def. in warranty, and replacing the SSD will most likely to void that since Apple do not provide capacity upgrade for this model according to their site, so you have to do it on your own, and they don't seems like seeing people taking apart the device XD.
And, it's expensive. The drive inside of your machine is a PCIE SSD which is made for Apple, **** fast but unlikely to find a third-party replacement. If you go to eBay, or somewhere else and look up the price, i believe your going to know what i mean. its EXPENSIVE.
Even you did it, what are you going to do with the one that you took outta your laptop? Sell it, it not that much since it do count as used. Turn into a external usb drive, sounds ideal but currently i do not see anything can do that with the PCIE connector on it.
So i personally recommend you, if your really not cool with the storage of it, sell the entire machine to someone that feels ok, add some money and buy a 512GB one.
Good luck, you decide

Jul 7, 2016 11:08 AM in response to shehzadb03by OGELTHORPE,It is not only possible but easy (if you have the correct tools). However be advised that doing so will void any warranty that may be in effect
