Unless you bought the old iPod touch less than 14 days ago, Apple won't give you more than 10% off the price of a new one, but you can sell it to someone other than Apple.

Well that ***** because I want a 32 gb iPod touch and it costs 250$ and I can only get 50$ selling it at gazelle.
Last I knew, Best Buy and Amazon both have buy back programs. Where you sell your device to them for store credit. How much you get depends on the condition and model of your device. But I believe both have online estimators you can use if you wish. There may be other places as well that will buy your device from you, either for cash or credit.
