Jul 19, 2015 7:34 PM in response to loucabreby Bob Timmons,Unfortunately, Apple is a lot less than clear with their status messages.
About all that you can do is try to Erase the Time Capsule disk to see if that might solve the issue. Unfortunately, you will lose all of the data on the Time Capsule drive if you decide to try this.
If the disk itself is physically damaged......a real possibility......erasing the drive will not help. Unfortunately, Apple does not offer repairs or repair parts for the Time Capsule, but it is possible to open up the Time Capsule and replace the hard drive.
If the Time Capsule is within the 1 year warranty period, Apple will replace the Time Capsule for you. If you have AppleCare in effect on one of your Macs..... AND......the Time Capsule is less than 3 years old, Apple will replace the Time Capsule for you.
