I have had a popup appear from mac-virus-info that i cant get rid of, it has a number to call but i dont know if it is legit and i should call it. It has flowed through onto the safari on my iphone now as well. What should i do?
It's a scam. Don't call the number.
For a Mac, choose Force Quit from the Apple menu, close Safari, and then launch it with the Shift key held down. If the message reappears, temporarily disconnect the computer from the Internet.
For the iPhone, click here and follow the instructions in the first paragraph of the last section.

If you didn't call the number, no. If you did, any information you gave them should be considered to be compromised.
