Q: 20x iMacs with wireless mice and keyboards
Hi there,
We have just purchased 20x iMacs that come with the Apple wireless mice and keyboards.
We are going to be using these in a medical educational environment with paying customers so it is essential that the hardware is capable.
Am I likely to experience any problems with the wireless mice and keyboards. I am thinking about interference causing them to disconnect.
I did have one of the iMacs detect two mice which could be used at the same time - this was easily solved by removing it from the Bluetooth list.
I did also experience one of the iMacs disconnect for about 20 seconds from both the mouse and keyboard at the same time when I was setting them up. This made me a bit nervous about the rest when all being used together.
Many thanks,
Jack

Each mouse and keyboard is paired with the machine it works with, however if for some reason you run into issues or have concerns you can easily replace the wireless devices with wired ones. I would recommend keeping the following link if troubleshooting is necessary. On occasion, pairing difficulties can arise and if you have the troubleshooting steps available makes fixing the problem is relatively painless.
