Flash Storage does not have moving parts and tends to be slightly faster than a Fusion Drive and in theory more reliable. Fusion drives are a combination of a small SSD and a traditional hard drive. What fuses the two devices together is software that makes it appear as 1 drive. The result is a drive that is MUCH faster than a traditional HD but slightly slower than a SSD. However because it still has a HD involved and HD's do fail they can be less reliable than a SSD but they are much less expensive than a dedicated SSD.
