Q: Computer continues to shut down while using

Note the time of the next shutdown. After rebooting open the Console app in Finder>Applications>Utilities and look for log entries at the time of the freeze. Post suspicious ones here.

Your MBP may have experienced a kernel panic.  If so log and post the last one per these instructions:
