My laptop is slower a bit than before

My laptop is slower a bit than before, so I did the disk verification then it stopped..

now it's saying that the disk needs to be repaired using recovery HD.

What does this mean? Is this a sign to change the HD or I just do the recovery thing?

Hi MS.H1231,

A message that a disk needs repair usually indicates that there are issues with how the data is structured on the disk, not necessarily that there is something physically wrong with the drive. For more information about disk maintenance and repair, you may find the following article helpful:

Do a backup, preferable 2 separate ones on 2 drives. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart or hold down the option/alt key during a restart and select Recovery Volume). Run Disk Utility Verify/Repair and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Reboot normally.
