Hi, I have recently bought a 2007 Mac Mini off eBay to use as a home file server. However when I try to connect to my HP Pavilion 22xi monitor via a DVI-D single link cable or using a DVI to VGA adapter I get a 'no signal' message on the display. I can't reset the NVRAM due to having an incompatible keyboard. What is the best way to get this sorted?

Does the monitor work with another computer?
Maybe the Mac is defective.
Thanks for that, my ageing HP laptop connects to the monitor just fine over VGA. The keyboard doesn't work at all ( there appears to be no power ) yet the wired Apple mouse does. Also our 2008 Sony TV doesn't recognise the Mac either.
Any other ideas??
I would talk to the seller. Seems like it is defective. Talk to eBay if necessary.
I would return it as defective.
