Hello, purchased a new iPhone 6 with a contract with Verizon. The phone came with iOS 8.2. I backed it up to my computer, turned off the passcode, and clicked "download and install", or something along those lines. The firmware downloads, but when it goes to install, I get the message, "the software for the iphone "iphone name" was corrupted" Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Are you trying to update your iPhone via iTunes or over the air? What version of the operating system / iTunes is on your computer? Here is some information for updating over the air:
