Q: iMac Connects to my Sprint Hotspot but not to my home internet

My iMac Mid 2010 27" running Yosemite (but the problem comes from before upgrading) connects to home connection but the internet doesn't work, the Network Diagnostics says its connected and has everything green but when i launch the browser no webpage comes up it gets stuck loading forever. BUT if i connect the iMac to my Sprint Hotspot it works perfectly. Please note that i also have an older Macbook (the black one) and my iphone and they all connect perfectly to my home connection. Please help, thanks!

Hey peigan,

Let me see if I understand you correctly.

You are unable to bring up web pages using one Internet connection.

Using another connection, it works fine.

When using Network Diagnostics with the non-functioning connection, it appears to be a good connection.
Is that right? It sounds as if you have an issue with the non-functioning connection's Domain Name Service (DNS.) I would suggest that you troubleshoot using the steps in this article - Non-responsive DNS server or invalid DNS configuration can cause long delay before webpages load.
