Just got my hands on a Macbook Pro A1278 model. It still has OSX 10.5.8 on it. Looking to upgare it to Yosemite. Which OSX Version should I buy? Lion? Mountain Lion? And then upgrade to Yosemite?
And how should I buy one, because Im from europe and my country doesnt have an apple store. I looked at UK or US store but they asked for shipping address (although I wanted just to download).

Buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD; check the online Apple Store(if any) for your country, or places/sites which sell Apple products.

Check to see that you meet the system requirements for Yosemite per http://www.apple.com/osx/specs
Correct, unless you need to upgrade the computer's RAM or other software in the process. You don't need to buy Lion or Mountain Lion.

It is MID 2009 with 4GB of Ram. It meets the requirements.

No. You need to buy the DVD.

As Niel says, you must purchase the Snow Leopard disc in order to install Snow Leopard on your Mac which is the minimum OS X requirement for Yosemite.
