How to save wifi passwords

Long story short: Will key chain and/or encrypted backup save wifi password(s), if not is there another way?

I want to restore my iPhone(don't ask why), and this thing has been stopping from doing so. My iPhone is connected to the school wifi where they don't allow you to use wifi anymore but my friend managed to get it and connected it to my phone but he didn't show/tell me. I know he won't give me a second time since he has to be discreet about it(exactly why the internet was closed last year because more than many was using it except for school those who have school-pc)

About encrypted backups in iTunes - Apple Support

About encrypted backups in iTunes

To protect backups of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in iTunes, you can use password protection and encryption.

The Encrypt Backup feature in iTunes locks and encodes your data. An encrypted iTunes backup includes certain information that other backups don't:

  • Your saved passwords
  • Wi-Fi settings
  • Website history
  • Health data

iTunes doesn't encrypt your backups by default. To encrypt a backup in iTunes for the first time, you'll need to turn on the password-protected Encrypt Backup option. After you turn on Encrypt Backup, iTunes automatically makes encrypted backups for that device from then on.

There is no way to recover your information or turn off Encrypt Backup if you lose or forget the password.

I know that, I've done the encrypt backup twice, and have keychain enabled. I don't wanna take any chances and loose my stuff. I've read that but just wanted to make sure just in case, I just wanted a yes/no answer and what it saves exactly, but thanks^^

P.S. If I can't connect to the wifi I'll sue your a** jk

Hahah, everyone did it last year so they changed the router. Well I asked them once but they didn't give me cuz they were being jerks so a friend did it for me. Words will go out if I ask again and the same thing will happen again, thats why. Besides, that was one of the reasons, and btw thanks, I managed to save all the wifis connected to my iPhone and other important stuff
