My ipod 4G wont charge with outlet or laptop, itunes wont regonize it either

I got my iPod touch 4G probably about a few years ago (4 maybe 5) and it was working fine when one of my cords had a turtleneck and broke and the other one had to be bent in a way for it to charge properly (the cord not the metal part) so I had to get a new cord at CVS. I got a blue Powerxcel cord, I plugged it in and it was working fine the few months I had it but now its not charging it and my computer doesn't think that its plugged in...

Can someone help me?

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.1.6

Not Charge

- See:

iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting

iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery

If you can’t charge your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

- Try another cable. Could the the blue... cable died

- Try another charging source

- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
