Q: iTunes won't sync non Apple Music to my iPhone!

I recently bought a CD. I put it in my computer and downloaded it to iTunes. I tried to sync it to my phone, when I discovered the only option to sync music to my phone is voice memos. I noticed it said cloud syncing was on. I checked preferences and cloud syncing was not on. So I enabled it, and tried to resync. No Change. I can't drag and drop music to the device, and when I use the drop down menu to add a playlist or an album to a device nothing happens. Then, I tried editing the master playlist on the device, and no success either. How do I get my non Apple Music onto my phone?!

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.4

    Hello Lijaal,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I see from your post that you're trying to sync music to your iPhone.  Given the information you provided, it looks like you have Apple Music and iCloud Music Library enabled on your iPhone.  Therefore in order to upload songs from iTunes on your computer to your Apple Music Library, please follow the directions below.

Upload songs with iTunes from your Mac or PC

To add tracks from your Mac or PC to your Apple Music library:

    1. Sign in to iTunes on your Mac or PC with the Apple ID and password that you use for your Apple Music membership.
    2. Make sure iCloud Music Library is on

Add music from your own collection to your Apple Music library - Apple Support

    Take care.
