Mini will not connect to WiFi

I have a recent Mini running Yosemite side by side with an MacBook Air. The laptop picks up the WiFi signal. The mini does not. I also have an iPad, which picks up the signal without trouble. Any suggestions as to how I might trouble shoot this issue? Many thanks.

I understand you are having trouble connecting to your Wi-Fi network with your Mac mini. Have you ever been able to connect with this computer? The first thing I would suggest is to connect via a wired ethernet cable first. Then follow the steps outlined in this resource for Wi-Fi troubleshooting:
