Just upgraded to 10.10.3 which killed my Appleworks 6. How do I access that and what is the new software?

Appleworks has been dead for over a decade.
The simplest means to open AppleWorks documents on Yosemite is to download and install the free LibreOffice. Since it is not AppleWorks, the accuracy of the opened documents will be varied, but allow you to export the content as Word documents. Database files will be an issue.
