How can I disable the Photo Stream daemon?

I have disabled Photo Stream on my iPod (iOS 8.4), but the mstreamd Photo Stream daemon process continually attempts to start up. This is an unwanted resource hog and battery drain.

I see this occurring about every 40 seconds:

Jul 21 12:04:13 iPod mstreamd[6924] <Notice>: (Note ) PS: Media stream daemon stopping.

Jul 21 12:04:13 iPod mstreamd[6924] <Notice>: (Note ) AS: <MSIOSAlbumSharingDaemon: 0x1466cd60>: Shared Streams daemon has shut down.

Jul 21 12:04:13 iPod mstreamd[6924] <Notice>: (Warn ) mstreamd: mstreamd shutting down.

Jul 21 12:04:14 iPod mstreamd[6925] <Notice>: (Note ) mstreamd: mstreamd starting up.

Jul 21 12:04:14 iPod mstreamd[6925] <Notice>: (Note ) PS: Media stream daemon starting...

I've turned off My Photo Stream and iCloud Photo Sharing on device, and have turned of iCloud Photo Library, My Photo Stream, and iCloud Photo Sharing on computer. How can I disable this mstreamd Photo Stream daemon process from repeatedly launching?

iPod touch, iOS 8.4

There is nothing you can do. Apple does not allow you to control that.
