iTunes Match wont play any of my old music! Help!!

I have been using the latest version of iTunes and the last version of IOS on my iPhone 6. I have had iTunes match for about 2 years to back up and store all of my music and have never had an issue until today. The only files that will play are the files that are locally stored on my computer/iphone and nothing else from the cloud will play. Songs that played perfectly yesterday will no longer play today even. If someone could help that would be great! Thanks!

So it isn't just happening to me then! I've been having the same problem all afternoon. I can see all the tracks in iTunes Match, but none of them play.

On my Mac I'm getting the error message "We're sorry, we cannot complete your request on the iTunes Store at this time". On my iPhone it looks like it's about to play, but I just get a popping sound from the speakers and no music plays.

Apple Music and downloaded files are fine. Unfortunately I've just deleted all my iPhone local files so I could use iCloud Music Library. Bad timing!

I've also noticed that all my playlists are empty, and all of the star ratings have disappeared from the tracks that were in the playlists. I'm now going to have to rate 4,000 songs again...

There seem to be a few threads appearing about this, so maybe it's not just us.

Same here on 2 different MacBook Air (13 & 11), iMac, and iPhones 4 & 5s. I'm tired of iMatch, tired of Apple getting more and more complex, more and more opaque. It reminds me of my Windows days ... not a good memory, but we're there now. A few weeks ago, iTunes ruined my library on my iPhone (mixing albums and artists ... it was almost unmanageable), but it was ok on my MB Air. And now, I just can't access to my music ... wow that's improvement!

As we pay for iTunes Match, this is totally unacceptable.

Fortunately enough, I downloaded 75% of my iTunes library a few months ago. Now I'm going to manage my library manually with another app. iTunes, so long!

I am having the same problem. My iTunes music actually plays fine on my computer. It just will not play from my iPad. It played fine yesterday just won't play today. I even streamed my music through my Bose bluetooth speaker yesterday. The music all shows up fine on my iPad but it won't play. It acts like it's going to but nothing happens. Strange thing is I can play Apple music and radio music. Just not any of my purchased music. I called Apple about this. The only answer they have at moment is there have been problems with iTunes, iCloud, Apple music on and off throughout day. We left my call with giving it some more time to see if what happens. They are calling me back tomorrow to follow up. Oddly I seemed to know more about how all this music stuff is supposed to work than the tech I was talking to. Anyway the problem may sovle itself on its own in time. We'll see. Right now I'm frustrated.
