Q: ipod 3rd generation

This ipod has completely died and will not take in power. I have tried holding down the start and minus volume buttons, as advised, but this doesn't work. Any ideas?

I understand that your iPod nano (3rd generation) will no longer power on and doesn’t appear to be accepting a charge. To troubleshoot this situation, I would recommend working through the attached iPod nano Troubleshooting Assistant.
