Hey Earthgrrl64,
It's odd that your iPhone would fail to play the entirety of the CD that you've added to your iCloud Music Library. Especially so, considering that you've tested the behavior in various areas to ensure that it's not an issue with poor cellular reception.
This behavior might be due to a connection interruption at the time that the CD was being downloaded to your device. Turning off iCloud Music Library on your iPhone, re-enabling it, then re-downloading the CD may help get the affected tracks to play. The steps outlined below detail how to go about turning on iCloud Music Library. When turning off iCloud Music Library, you'll be prompted to remove the music that's on your device. Doing so should remove any incompletely downloaded copies of the songs that won't play.
- In the Apple Music app, tap the profile icon and sign in with the same Apple ID and password that you use for your Apple Music membership.
- In Settings > Music, turn on iCloud Music Library.
- If you already have music on your device, you'll be asked if you want to Merge or Replace the music. Choose Merge to add the songs currently on your device to your library.* If you select Replace, the music on your device is replaced with your Apple Music library.

Hope this helps!
