iTunes Music won't play my iTunes Match music

I have my ITunes library shared across my devices using a subscription to ITunes Match. I am now running the Apple Music three month free trial and have picked some music from there to add to My Music also. I can find, play and download this new music from Apple Music. But I can see but I can't play any of my own music. Some of the music is purchased from ITunes, some has been loaded from my CD collection. None will play. Press the play arrow, and the track will look as if it is starting to play but no sound and playing "stops" almost immediately. Also music from my library will not download in this state.

I have tried changing Settings for Music to disable ICloud Music Library. Then the Apple Music items disappear from My Music and tracks from my library will play or download to IOS device as before. So a partial (but really unusable) fix as I then can't use Apple Music I have selected while in this state.

If I re-enable the iCloud Music Library in Settings then Apple Music library re-loads and I can re-access the Apple Music I added previously to my music and play that but my own music library can once again be seen but won't play or download. So back to square one.

Have tried re-booting device(s) but no change. Behaviour is identical on both IPad and Iphone 5. Have not tried MacBook yet and will do that soon.

One other thing I have spotted with this. If I disable the ICloud Music Library, then download a track from my library to my device then re-enable the ICloud Music Library that track from my library will play but no others will play.

Seems like some kind of incompatibility bug between Apple Music and ITunes (Match) to me.

Any assistance greatly appreciated and also hope Apple might be watching as this looks like Apple Music bug to me. I see a few others are reporting something similar.

I'm having the exact same problem on my iPhone, iPad and Mac Pro. This seems to have started after the big services outage of this afternoon. Things were working fine just last night. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a solution. The fix is probably on Apple's end.

And yet another iCloud Music Library screwup...

Update. I have now tried on MacBook. The MacBook will play Apple Music but not my own itunes match library so similar to on IPad and IPhone BUT with MacBook get an error message when trying to play own music. The error message is "We're sorry, we cannot complete your request on the iTunes Store at this time. Please try again later."

But will play my library ok if I disable iCloud Music Library in general preferences. So very similar behaviour to on other devices.

Cannot add content from Apple Music without enabling iCloud Music library. Cannot play my own music with iCloud Music Library enabled. So incompatibility between iTunes Match / Cliud and Apple Music.

Maybe I'll have to try Spotify for streaming and pass on Apple Music unless I can get this fixed somehow.

(Now seen post about service outage ..... Perhaps it is temporary glitch due to failure of iTunes Store. Let's hope fixed soon.)

I'm having the same issue, although I am able to play my music on my mac but if I try to play on my iPhone or iPad, no luck. It was working fine yesterday...

UPDATE: Removing the music on your iPhone or iPad from "Your Music" seems to fix the issue. Then you are able to stream the music from apple music and it doesn't attempt to go from your match. It must be an iCloud issue.

I'm not one of these people who likes to get on the boards here and start flaming at Apple, but honestly, what is the point of a system status page if you never admit when there's an issue going on? We've been without music that we own and pay $25 to access in the cloud for most of the day. Yet there is no acknowledge meant of this ongoing issue. Only because the music award nominees were announced this AM did Apple acknowledge the Beats1 and related outage. What gives??

Same problem here. First noticed it on my Windows PC at work. Same problem on iPad, iPhone, and Mac Mini at home. I download or "make available offline" everything on on my Mac Mini, so those songs all play. But as for the rest of my devices, having nearly 2000 albums unavailable is horrifying to say the least. I'm more than concerned that something is going to reset on the sever side and I'm going to have a busted/corrupt library.

On a side note, the 5 star rating system is 100% missing on iTunes on my Windows PC (no dots or stars) but is present on the Mac.

Same problem. I noticed it this morning when my iPhone would skip certain songs. After that, I checked that none of my devices would play my uploaded, purchased nor matched songs. I've been using iTunes Match since it launched, so all my library is up there in the cloud. On the Mac it says "We're sorry, we cannot complete your request on the iTunes Store at this time. Please try again later." Songs that where added from Apple Music will play with no problem. Will try what you did disabling, and downloading those songs.

I'm wondering if you guys have separate AppleID's for "iCloud" and "iTunes & App Store"?

I do, and I'm getting duplicates showing for some tracks (under the same album, it doesn't show the album itself twice). On my iphone, the tracks will play (both show they're playing simultaneously!), but on my iPad, they wouldn't play at all (though it looked like they were both trying at the same time).

Disabling iCloud Music Library in settings removes the duplicates and allowed the music to play on the iPad, but now all my iTunes Match music doesn't show.

And, just so it is said, I have two Apple IDs because I created my original one before MobileMe, .Mac, or iCloud existed, but then Apple automagically created the mac.com Apple ID for me.
