itunes freezes on nano eject

I have a new iPod Nano. It syncs fine (both music and podcasts) with my iTunes (updated) on my Windows 7. When I hit "eject" on itunes, the nano ejects fine, but iTunes freezes. It freezes to the point that I have to close the process with a task manager. iTunes works fine with my iPod Touch (5th Gen) and iPad Air 2. Ejects without a problem with each of those. I have installed and reinstalled iTunes twice. I have wiped the nano clean and reformated it. I have changed lightning cords. Still the nano causes iTunes to freeze on eject.

I bought a new nano today and the same thing happens. It is not the Nano. It is something with iTunes.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for responding, brenden.

Is still occurs in safe mode. I have updated iTunes and still there is a problem, on with the Nano. iPod touch and iPad Air 2 all work fine.

Were you able to completely uninstall and reinstall iTunes and test to see if the issue persisted?

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 - Apple Support

I have only re-installed iTunes. I have not uninstalled and re-installed.

1) would this make a difference?

2) if I uninstall iTunes will I loose my playlists, podcast subscriptions...Will it wipe it clean?

I am having the identical problem.(Win 7, recent iTunes update, iPod nano 6th gen, lockup on eject). Tried all the suggestions in this and other threads.

Also, on my iPod, I have been having the unwanted voice-overs, fast-forwards, etc described in other threads, although I have turned off everything related to voice-overs and shake-to-shuffle in music and fitness.

All this started with the recent iTunes update.

There are a bunch of other threads describing these problems that Apple needs to address as a whole. I think there is a problem with the current iTunes update.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes. Still freezes with Nano. After it freezes I have to close iTunes with a task manager. When I restart iTunes, it still does not recognize the nano. My iPad Air 2 and iPod Touch 5th gen work fine, but the nano still does not get recognized. I have to reboot my computer.
