We have years worth of Family sharing purchases It's time to separate, is there a way to 'part out' the purchases to the individual family members? That of course assumes that support and file ownership are retained.

I understand that you wish to leave a family group and have questions regarding purchased content. You will retain all purchased content that was made with your Apple ID. If you are not the organizer, you will be required to enter a form of payment. For more information, this article explains in detail what will happen.
You'll keep any purchases you initiated while part of the family group. However, if the organizer was paying for your iCloud storage or any other ongoing subscriptions, you'll need to start paying for them yourself using a valid payment method on your account.
