I have 100 new gigs of used space under "other" and I don't know where it came from. I have been gone for a week, so I haven't downloaded anything, and I've cleared my trash and searched in finder for large files to no avail. Any help please????

I've also already viewed the page on "other," hence why I searched in finder for the largest files. But my concern is that these 100 gigs came while I wasn't using my computer for a whole week. I checked it a little before I left for vacation and it was around 170 gigs and now it's completely full.
Download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper and Grand Perspective (both free) and open them. They will show all of your files and the respective sizes. This should assist you in determining what you exactly have on your MBP and resolve any discrepancies.
