Q: Can I delete the new Photo library and reload from iPhoto?
I would like to reload my iPhoto library (v 9.6.1) into the new Photo app on my Mac Pro (Yosemite 10.10.3). After opening and transitioning my iPhoto library to Photo, more photos and edits were made to my iPhoto library. No imports or changes have been made in Photo so I'd like to simply replace the Photo library. The online resources don't refer to how to reload an iPhoto library into Photo and I don't feel comfortable just deleting the new Photo library.
OS X Mavericks (10.9.1), null

Yes
You can just trash the Photos library and then launch Photos while holding down the option key and selecting the iPhoto library to migrate and open - or drag the iPhoto library to the Photos icon in the dock
If you have space and are nervous wait to empty the trash until you are happy with the results
And of course you must always have a good backup if you files and photos are important to you
