Connecting to the Internet with PPPoE in Mac OS X v10.6 and later

I wanted to use Ethernet on my Mac but as I use the steps from the Apple support ,there is a difficulty to choose Ethernet it only says WI FI .I am browse the web for solutions but its been days I didn't find any help.

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.4)
