Upgrading from MacBook to MacBook Pro

Hey Everyone,

I Bought a MacBook ealier this year (no problems with it so far) and I got 2 (1gb RAM each) from newegg.

I am on the process of buying one of the newest MacBook Pros, to replace my MacBook (I am selling it to my dad).

I was wondering if I can swap the memory sticks between the Macbook to the MacBook Pro?

That way I will leave my dad with a 1gb ram MB and I get a 2gb ram MBP, without having to buy any extra memory.

Is it possible? if not, can you point me to some good memory for the MBP?

Thanks!

Macbook 2.0ghz, 2gb RAM, 120 HDD, Black, Mac OS X (10.4.8), iPod Nano 2nd Gen Silver, Ipod Shuffle 2nd Gen
