Q: Printless in Seattle - OS X Yosemite
I recently upgraded to OS X 10.10.4 on my MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011), Intel i5.
My Dell 2330dn no longer works.
Laptop connects to printer appears to print but does not.
Printer continues to work from other PCs on the same network.
I installed the latest driver from HP.
Deleted all printers and reset the Printing system per the support article.
Re-added the printer with both the Dell driver and the generic PCL drivers.
Found the error messages below in the log...
D [22/Jul/2015:11:25:19 -0700] [Job 5] printer-state=3(idle)
D [22/Jul/2015:11:25:19 -0700] [Job 5] printer-state-message="Cannot read the print job."
D [22/Jul/2015:11:25:19 -0700] [Job 5] printer-state-reasons=none
Any help is appreciated.

wi-fi and print to the same router? Have you disabled printing through the router? are you using a guest account (or 3rd party protection)that is blocking the computers ability to print - some guest wireless accounts on some major router brands have this as a default or as a rule that can not be changed. Is it a dual band router, have you tried the other band for the Mac? Have you hard wired the mac to the router?
IP should not be worse, it's the most direct way to connect to a networked printer with the least amount of overhead. If the printer allows connection through usb try connecting the mac directly to it and configure through USB. If that does not work you should look into updating the printers firmware at the manufacturer sugguests
