Q: Basic shared album questions

1. I accidentally deleted some photos and they were moved to recently deleted items. Where do I find this?

2. I added photos to a shared album and want to remove them just from the album. How do I do this?

3. By putting them into the shared album, I'm assuming these are being stored in iCloud? If so, I just checked System Preferences and it shows I have 1.95GB of space available out of 5GB. Does this mean I can place 1.95GB of photos into this shared album and they can be viewed on my ATV and on any other iOS devices I choose to share them with?

Thanks.

1 - in Photos the file menu ==> show recently deleted

2 - open the album an right click on each photo and remove from shared album

3 - no, iCloud Photo Sharing does not count against iCloud storage - shared albums are limited to 5000 photos - iCloud Photo Sharing FAQ - Apple Support

I currently use Dropbox and OneDrive to back up  photos from my Android phone and iPad and once they are on my Mac I manually delete them from my devices. I'm going to switch to an iPhone in the fall.

    1. Is iCloud photo storage a way to get photos off my devices and onto my Mac in the same way I am using Dropbox and OneDrive?

    2. Does this mean that any photo put into iCloud Photo storage becomes available on any of my Macs or iOS devices?

    Thanks.

1 - yes as to the iPad - no for the Android (there is no iCloud support for the Android except via a web browser)

2 - yes (it is iCloud Photo Library) - it is available to any Mac or IOS device signed in to iCloud using the same Apple ID and can also be accessed from any browser at iCloud.com
