OK, Hello all, I hope you can help me.
I have Final Draft 8, that requires an osx system of 10.6.6 or later to run/ install. I bought this product before i bought my Mac Book Pro ( I had an HP, which died) so it was previously installed. I have the disk, not a download from the net. My Mac runs osx 10.10.4 and i do not understand why FD8 will not work. PLEASE HELP!!!

Presumably because the version you have pre-dates the arrival of Yosemite. Check with the developers whether they have updated version that is compliant with Yosemite.
Have you sorted this yet? I have the exact same problem!
I resolved this issue.
1. Log into the Final Draft support page: https://www.finaldraft.com/support/software/final-draft-8
2. Select your version of OS
3. Enter your Final Draft Customer number and run the download.
