My iPod has been stolen. I changed my Gmail P/W while at work. When I got home, I used my Mac to set the iPod to erase if it connects to the web. I did not have to use the new P/W to get my mail on my iPad Mini, so if iPod erase fails??

Thanks for the time taken to try to help. I have signed in on a Mac and a Windows laptop, both needed me to change my password before I could access my Gmail. My iPad mini did not require me to. When I got to my Mac I went on to the cloud and set up the iPod to erase if it connects to the net. I am concerned that there might be access to my email (since the iPad didn't block access, why would the iPod ?) if the erase that I've set up does not work. It does not seem to be a thing I should worry about, but I am not 100%
Do you have iCloud keychain turned on on both the iPad and Mac? If you do then, afte rchanging the PW on one device it should be changed on the the other device a short time latter if both are connected to the interent
I do not use keychain, because I use devices that are mine and as provided by employer. And I tried (and succeeded) to check my gmail from the iPad before my Mac. I had to change passwords to get access on the Mac, but not the iPad. I do not get it!
Can you send GMail on the iPad? maybe they ere download before you changed the PW.
Yes I can, and it has updated as well. Odd one. I just hope I don't have a problem because of the iPod. Do you know if anything can be lifted from it if it is connected to a computer and not the internet? I have other indications that the thief was not too sophisticated.
