I am experiencing intermittent freezing and the spinning beachball fairly frequently. Restart clears the problem temporarily.

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), 13-inch mid 2012 model

I would suggest that you take the computer to the Apple store to have the computer checked out.
