Remove iPhone WiFi Antenna

I am interested in hearing if it is possible to remove the WiFi antenna from an iPhone, specifically an iPhone 5 (or maybe a 4).

I want to let my (young) kid to be able to play games on it while also being able to call, but I do not want them to have access to WiFi. I can disable network access through my carrier.

I have an old iPhone 5 laying around, so I figure maybe this will be possible, as I would be able to load apps onto it via iTunes.

Anyways: would an apple store (or anywhere else?) be able to remove the WiFi chip/antenna from an iPhone 4 or 5? If not, would it work on a 6? Is it even something removable?

Thanks.

There's nothing user-friendly about disassembling an iPhone the way you are describing, and if you aren't technically-inclined there is a bigger chance you will make the phone unusable than achieve your goal.

Why not just go into parental controls and turn off Safari/Facetime and any other network apps you don't want him to use? That way the phone can still be used as a phone or resold later if you decide to do that.

You could also just not connect it to the WiFi network, and not give him the password.
