How can one enable video hardware accelerator?

Hello.

First, thanks for reading my question and trying to help me.

I've already looked at some mac support but I can't find anything on "video hardware accelerator"

So it all started yesterday evening when I was playing some regular sims. Nothing special. Its basically in my everyday routine. Then, all of a sudden my game crashes which isn't unusual based on my vast amount of sims EPs {expansion packs} and SPs {stuff packs} and CC {custom content}. Now before you go saying I should contact EA about this, I have a screenshot of what sims is telling me about my video hardware accelerator. Continuing on; So after my game crashes the only way to get back to my desktop is to restart my computer. So I restart it, and when the screen comes back up for the login, it has this weird thing in the corner that's red and it says: "Safe Login" and that really freaked me out. So I go to mac support and it says to delete any unstable/damaged applications from the internet. So basically I delete everything except core programs and sims {I paid way too much for 9 EPs to just delete them off my hardrive FOREVER} . I know sims is a safe application because it comes from a trusted gaming enterprise (EA, electronic Arts) and I've even been noticing issues with youtube, roblox, and netflix. For example, I cannot play a youtube video and I can't watch netflix. Roblox on the other hand, I sign into the website and yada yada yada, but then I go to open a game and then it just automatically closes.

Alright enough blabbering on my part, heres the screen shot I took.

Safe mode disables hardware video acceleration. The question is what is causing your machine to boot into safe mode spontaneously?

Most likely cause is a book or your finger on the shift key during the reboot. If not: reset nvram, repair disk, reinstall OS X, etc.

If still no joy, could be a dodgy third party kext. Run EtreCheck and post the report so we can try to spot any candidates.
