I downloaded something I thought had to Redcine-X but it seemed to have put a adware virus. When I click on a link via Safari, it go to another advertisement for the virus protection.
No make what link I click. I thought Mac's do not get viruses. I do not want virus protection on my Mac it slows it down

What Mac do you have, and what Mac OS version is it running? The pre-2006 all-in-one models this forum covers seldom are subject to adware because they are so old.
