iMessage and FaceTime problem

Hi Apple. My iMessage and Facetime hasn't been working for weeks now and I don't know what to do. what exactly happened was I got back from camp and once I opened both icons they both logged me out completely. I tried logging back in but it kept saying "iMessage activation failed." What should I do?? I don't want to make a new Apple ID so please help me out.
