Connecting a Blu-Ray player to MacPro (early 2008)
Can I install or connect a Blu-Ray player to my MacPro? Are they compatible and would there be a benefit in superior sound and vision quality?

The benefit is up to beholder. Yu can play commercial BluRay disks and burn higg-capacity disks. You do not software to burn and play BluRay disks. Some disk come with software and other do not.
