When i open Finder, in the "shared" area there's an icon that says "technicolor" and when i click on get info, it says it's a PC, i don't know why it is there since I've never connected my Mac Book Pro to another computer, i already turned bluetooth off but it's still there. I would really appreciate if someone could tell me why this is happening or how to get rid of it, i am afraid it's dangerous so i could really use some help. Thanks!
Okay well, yesterday I had Safari, iTunes, Spotify and Excel open and the icon was there, today I turned my laptop on and just opened Safari and it's not there... yet.
Thing is I did try that (system preferences > sharing) yesterday but it wouldn't go away, I turned bluetooth off and everything in sharing is off too so I don't know what else to do.
I kinda just want assurance that it is not malware or will damage my MacBook in any way.
"Shared" means that the other computer is offering to share with you, it doesn't mean your computer is sharing with them. You can control what is shared in System Preferences > Sharing.
There's a technicolor icon in "shared" ??
