Where is the "Batch" function?

Where is the "Batch" function? How does one change names and such on multiple pics as in the old version?

Wait for the next Photos release - batch changing is not yet supported. The new version that will come with the next MacOS X El Capitan will have more features.

For the time being batch change the titles and captions in iPhoto or try out the Apple Scripts we posted in the User Tip Section.

Wrong forum for that

in numbers the Help says

Sort data in a table

You can sort some or all data in a table—alphabetically or by increasing or decreasing values. When you sort by column, the rows of the table rearrange accordingly.

Text in column headers and footers isn’t sorted, but values in hidden rows and hidden columns are.

Quickly sort by ascending or descending values

      Create a sorting rule

      1. User uploaded file
      2. User uploaded file

      Delete a sorting rule

      1. User uploaded fileUser uploaded file

In columns containing both text and numbers, ascending order sorts by numbers before text (for example, 1a, 1b, 2a, a1, b1). Ascending order also places Boolean (true/false) cells after cells sorted alphabetically or numerically, and places blank cells at the bottom of the column.

In "Numbers", is there a way to sort and find "duplicates"?

Are you asking about sorting the columns in a table? In most Apple applications you can click the titles of a column and sort the column ascending or descending. So, if you click the caption of any column in a Numbers table, the rows will be sorted by that column and you will be seeing duplicates in adjacent rows.

If you click the title/caption you will also see an option to filter for certain values in that column:

      User uploaded file

I could show all rows containing "2" and easily remove the duplicate rows.

      Thanks for sticking with me.

No, I am wanting to find duplicates in a column.

      Example...

If I have John in column A and 10,000 entries later add another John, is there a way to find that duplicate as in iTunes. In iTunes there is a "Find Duplicates" command, which then isolates all the duplicates so you can take care of them. There should be the same in Numbers somewhere.

Hello! I was reading your article, "Batch Changes in Photos for Mac: Change the titles to a Given String." I attempted to replicate this however I continue to run into the error, "Syntax error: Photos got an error AppleEvent Handler Failed." The following is the line that is highlighted for attention, "set the name to input & "-" & ntext as text".

Do you have any idea what I may be doing wrong? I copied your script exactly and keep getting the same error. Thanks.
