Jul 24, 2015 9:43 AM in response to fredrodgersby vrs2008,Yes, Microsoft Word is supported on Macs. All you would need to do to continue working on your Word files on a mac would be to make sure you have Microsoft Word downloaded and transfer the files from your old laptop to your new iMac.

Jul 24, 2015 4:19 PM in response to fredrodgersby rkaufmann87,The others have answered most of your questions, however one thing that may interest you is there are free web base MS Office alternatives too. If you hare a regular user of MS Office on Windows and want to buy Office for Mac you can (as has already been stated), when you do you will find you have multiple choices available to you from Microsoft.
Good luck with your new Mac and welcome to the light side.
