get photo library off iPhone6

I have tried the suggestion of making an empty folder for upload & using iTunes to remove the photo library from my phone, but it doesn't work. Half of my GBs are being used up! Help please...

Oh ok I thought the settings app on the iPhone might have been displaying the incorrect info but if iTunes is showing 8.3GB of photos they are still definitely there somewhere next I would recommend changing the date back on your phone to something like the year 2000 and then check the messages app and the albums section in the photos app to see if any photos show up if they do delete them and then change the date back to the current date you can change the date in settings >general>date&time if that fails you may need to consider backing up your phone and then restoring it to factory settings keeping in mind if you restore the backup it may bring back the problem so its probably best to restore it as new and then test to make sure the photos are not there then restore the backup and check again I've put some links below that may be helpful you may not need them all but definitely do a backup before a restore.

Hope this helps
