Im having problems with making a garage band song of mine louder. When i change the audio peak limiter on master track and export it to itunes i cant here a difference but when i change the individual track volume and export it to itunes its louder. Why wont the master track export work?

Which version of GarageBand do you have?
Do you have any "Auto normalize" options set "GarageBand > Preferences > Advanced"? If Auto Normalize is on, it may render the settings on the master track useless. The same goes for any preferences you may have set in iTunes: Check your preferences in iTunes for "Preferences > Playback > Sound Enhancer and Sound Check".
