Keyboard connection problem at the BIOS after installing Linux

Hello everyone!

Last week I decided to install Fedora on my 2010 iMac. I did it, so when I stated the computer GRUB appeared and I saw Linux and OS X as options to boot.

Suddenly, I updated the kernel of Linux and it failed at booting. I though that this was not a big deal, I still had the OS X partition... I rebooted and I found that GRUB does not recognize my wireless keyboard, so I was not able to choose between my partitions...

It does not boot CDs or USB drives either...

I tried pluging in an old keyboard with an USB adapter (I have not an USB keyboard) but it didn't work...

What can I do?

Thanks!

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4), fedora 22

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive

Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears.

Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.

When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the indented Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.

Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button. Be sure to select the OS X volume.

Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Alternatively, see:

Choose the version you have installed now:

OS X Yosemite- Reinstall OS X

OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X

OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X

OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X

If you have wiped out the Recovery HD partition, then you need to visit the Fedora help site/forum and find out how to fix GRUB. Your only other option would be to repartition and reformat the drive, install Snow Leopard from your Software Restore disc, then start over from scratch with Linux.

I hope you realize that OS X is essentially BSD Unix.
