Moving from Aperture to Photos

Since Aperture has gone the way of the Dodo, I've tried to move my photo library to Photos. All of my photos came in and it seems that much of the metadata is there (keywords, etc.), but my organization is all gone. I had everything in a organizational folder hierarchy of years (going back 15 years) and then event folders within those years, i.e. "Honeymoon", "Ski Trip Spring Break 2010", etc. All the photos are just organized by date stamp on the photo, which really blows right now. Is there a way to get my organizational hierarchy back?

Have you looked at the albums section?

When you migrate an Aperture library to Photos, photos will create a folder named "iPhoto Events", and inside you will find an album for each of your Aperture projects. Also your folders will be preserved as folders with albums inside. Only smart albums and print products may not migrate well, see this support document: How Photos handles content and metadata from iPhoto and Aperture - Apple Support

The nested folders are best viewed in the Sidebar. If you did not reveal it, enter the key combination ⌥⌘S to toggle the sidebar on and off.
