I am attempting to launch, then hide an application using AppleScript, can someone advise what I may be doing wrong?
tell application "TextExpander" to launch
tell application "Finder"
set visible of process "TextExpander" to false
end tell
Trying to eventually create a startup script for the beginning of my workday.....thought I would start here 🙂

It fails primarily because you don't target applications, rather the running process. Additionally, the use of the Finder for things like this is deprecated. Use System Events instead:
tell application "System Events"
set visible of application process "TextExpander" to false
end tell
Nice, I do appreciate it! Is there a list somewhere of things you can tell "System Events"?
System Events is pretty much the go-to target for anything system-level - that is, something that's not specific to an individual app (and even some things that are).
As for the list, you can open System Event's dictionary like any other app on your system.
