Q: Apple music offline shows all music

I have cellular data turned off for apple music, since I don't want to use data for streaming. I have a number of tracks downloaded for offline listening. However, when I select only show music available offline, it still shows ALL music.  This then causes the app to stream music that has not been downloaded, even with data turned off for Apple Music. Is this a known issue?  Help!

    Yes, this is an exceedingly stupid problem with music on the iPhone. Why would Apple include a setting that says it will only show music that is available offline, but when you use that setting it does NOT show only music that is available offline? I have no idea, but I did find out how to fix the problem. If you have thousands of songs though, this is going to be a very tedious way to fix it since you have to go into iTunes, access your purchased page under the "account" menu and hover your pointer over each song so that an "x" button appears to its right, then click the "x" button to hide each individual purchase one by one.     And let's just say that this method of hiding music is not one anyone would just stumble upon intuitively using their iPhone.

    Hi,

     

    had the same problem but now, with iOS 10 and the new Music-App there is a new problem.

     

    On the iPhone I can now easily show only offline music from my match-libary by only switching to "Geladene Musik" (german). Excellent.

    New problem: my BMW (not using carplay) shows me all 10.000+ songs available instead of the ones that are only offline available.

     

    Something changed with iOS 10 that worked in earlier versions (besides the old problem above).

     

    Has anyone a workaround or correct setting for me?
