I have two iPods that were using the same email ID. I changed one and stopped the Family Sharing but the photos are still sharing. I even turn off sync and Find my iPod thinking this would stop. I changed the Apple ID on one of the iPods but still the photos are sharing. Will I need to restore one of them to stop this from happening? If so, will I have to back these photos up to avoid losing them?

With the same ID photos will be charged if PhotoStream is one. You can also shared with different IDs

This says that it will delete all photos from my iPod.
If PhotoStream is on then photos for the device will go to other devices
If iCloud Photo Sharing is on the device can create albums that can be viewd by other or subscribe to to other person's shared albums.
