Positioning cinema display under a window

Ok so, I have a big open window in my room and I would love to put my desk underneath it with my cinema display on top. The back of the cinema display would be facing the window and the screen facing in to the room. Would this be safe to do, presuming that I wouldn't have my blind down during the day? Would any of the 3m glass frosting film, help in reducing the direct sunlight?

Any help on this would be much appreciated.
