Q: iPad Mini 3 and FaceTime issues
Good morning everyone,
I'd like to share with you some issues I've encountered with my gf's iPad Mini 3 (16GB - WiFi only) and the latest iOS (8.4):
- Some days ago it happened that we weren't able to turn on the iPad from it's stand-by status: I tried to get through this issue pressing (until the apple logo appeared...) both the Home and the Power button. We were able to use the iPad but the day after the same issue occurred, solved it with the same procedure.
Since that we never had this problem.
- Two days ago we have another problem with FT - and it seems to occur only with it, every other application seems to work fine.
During a video call from my iPhone to her iPad it happened that she wasn't able interact with the screen: she touched the screen but it looked frozen; no other buttons appeared (no Mic, EndCall et cetera appeared).
- Today we had another issue kinda like the second one; I called her through FT but she could not take the call because she wasn't able to press the button; as if it the touch screen didn't work...
Now, I don't know if you experienced any of these issues; I don't understand if it's a software issue (FaceTime related) or if it's an hardware issue (touch screen, for instance)... And again, while every other app seems to work fine I would think this is a FT issue.
I want to point out that all this issues after installing 8.4, before that everything worked fine.
I don't know if this is important too but here, in south Italy, we are facing the hottest summer days ever; very High Humidity (80 - 90 %) and High temperatures (37 - 40 Celsius Degrees)
Any suggestion, advice is welcome; please help.
Giuseppe
